Gastro / Commercial Under the shared concept and name – Bokovka, we designed two restaurants: one in Trnava and the other in Bratislava. While the Bratislava location was created in the renovated space of a former grocery store, the Trnava location was built in a shell space within a shopping center. They are united by an industrial-style interior featuring exposed concrete and metal elements, as well as exposed ceilings. This style also leans the restaurant concept toward that of a pub, which both locations become during the evening hours. We aimed to keep the restaurant spaces open and airy, dividing them by inserting various types of structures combining wood and hollow steel profiles, which define the different seating areas. In terms of the floor plan, we alternated between high bar seating under a "hop garden" structure, classic seating at solid wooden tables, and retro rounded leather booths. The atmosphere and color palette are complemented by industrial pendant lights in signal red and muted blue. These colors are set against a backdrop of neutral white, gray, black, and wooden surfaces and elements. A playful industrial design has successfully merged the restaurant and pub concepts. Such a space is just as pleasant for a quick lunch as it is for an evening gathering.
