In two shopping centers, we designed and, in collaboration with the client, implemented two kiosks intended for the sale of jewelry. The highly specific brief played a significant role in their design, as the kiosk itself primarily needed to let the colorful jewelry stand out while appearing elegant and meeting all the functional and design requirements set by the shopping centers. The design of the kiosk was intended to reflect the concept of incorporating traditional folk jewelry motifs with a modern, minimalist style. We translated the idea of combining traditional folk jewelry motifs with a modern style of dress into the design of the kiosk as well. It consists of a simple white base with black-framed display cases, acting as jewelry boxes. In this way, it is adaptable to every new jewelry collection without appearing cluttered. The only decoration is a white ornament with a mirrored background that lines the lower part of the base. We made sure that each display case had appropriate product lighting while also achieving sufficient versatility—it is possible to present the smallest pieces of jewelry as well as small items of clothing and accessories in the display cases.
