The interior of a three-story family house situated on sloping terrain in Bratislava's Old Town was designed to reflect the personalities of its residents. The heart of the home is the kitchen, where the man of the house spends most of his time. The bedroom and entrance areas, meanwhile, reflect the refined taste of the lady of the house. The garage and utility areas are accessible from the street, the middle floor houses the sleeping zone, and the top floor is dedicated to an open-plan living area with direct access to the garden. Neutral material combinations appear throughout the space. Travertine flooring, natural oak wood, and exposed concrete complement each other well with white and black accents in the form of lighting fixtures. In the children's rooms for the son and daughter, in addition to standard furniture, there are creative beds that also serve as forts, designed and custom-built for the space. Connecting the interior spaces with the garden and creating a kind of oasis amidst the bustle of the city was a priority for the owners. Beyond the generous glazing, this relationship is also reflected in the interior through the consistent choice of natural materials.
