The initial brief from the owners was formulated as a need to create a larger wardrobe, a space for a desk, and to replace accessories. Upon gradually evaluating the space, in which we saw greater potential than just that, the owners decided on a complete renovation. They themselves assessed the result as an incomparably more pleasant living space with a logical layout. Layout modifications primarily involved swapping the living room with the dining room and inserting a study, followed by a wardrobe in the intermediate space leading to the bedroom. However, this entailed demolishing partitions, replacing floors, and re-routing utilities, which also related to a new smart electrical installation with programmed lighting scenes. These helped transform the interior from a calm, intimate atmosphere to an active working one. From the beginning, it was essential for the owners to have a cozy home, but with a touch of experimentation. We achieved this through the atypical use of a custom-mixed colored terrazzo, which we used to cast not only the floor but also the furniture.
